The Role – Nurture Teacher
Qualiteach are looking for a passionate Nurture Teacher to join a pupil referral unit PRU based in Hillingdon. As a Nurture Teacher, you will support a small group of primary-aged students who require a calm and therapeutic environment to thrive. You will be responsible for delivering a creative and differentiated curriculum that focuses on both academic progress and emotional development. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, with potential to go permanent. For the role of the Nurture Teacher, you must have QTS or QTLS, at least one year’s experience working with students with SEMH needs, and be able to commit to full-time from September.
The School – PRU in Hillingdon
This PRU is a supportive, well-resourced alternative provision for students aged 5–16 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. The school places a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing, and provides ongoing CPD including training in de-escalation, attachment awareness and restorative practice. Staff work as a close-knit team to support students in rebuilding confidence and re-engaging with learning.
