Vessel Accounting Manager (European MNC)
We are working with a global maritime organisation to hire a Vessel Accounting Manager in a hands on role covering: reporting, budgeting, and coordination with operations and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and variance analysis for dedicated vessels.
* Review actuals vs budget, investigate discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.
* Coordinate closely with internal teams to align financials with vessel performance.
* Manage vessel-level budgeting, forecasting, and accruals based on trends and available data.
* Liaise with clients to support reporting needs and address queries in a timely manner.
* Mentor junior team members and ensure high quality reporting standards.
* Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 4+ years of vessel accounting experience.
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external clients.
* Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP or maritime accounting systems.
* Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior finance staff is a plus.
