Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-established engineering business in Leeds, which is looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team.
This role will suit someone who comes from an engineering/technical manufacturing background, who has previously worked with technical drawings, and can lead a small team to drive efficiencies and processes.
* 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 1pm finish every Friday!

The Role
* Overseeing procurement across bought-out components, electrical items, and subcontracted services
* Leading supplier relationships and acting as the primary escalation point for supplier issues
* Identifying and reporting cost‑saving opportunities
* Allocating workload across the team and supporting, mentoring, and developing the Buyers
* Developing and implementing standardised purchasing processes and controls
* Acting as the key point of contact between Purchasing and internal functions, including Production, Stores, Design Engineering, and Accounts
The Person
* Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within an engineering/technical manufacturing environment
* Previous experience leading a team
* Strong supplier negotiation skills and a track record of delivering cost savings
* The ability to develop and implement purchasing processes and drive compliance
* A clear and proactive communication style, able to engage stakeholders at all levels
