My RoleAs Senior IT Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will take a leading role in the design, implementation and ongoing support of enterprise‑wide IT infrastructure.
Based at the Head Office in Banbridge, with hybrid working available, you will have responsibility for ensuring the availability, performance and security of systems that underpin critical retail and FMCG operations — from store connectivity and POS systems to cloud platforms and smart warehousing technologies.
This is a hands‑on, senior technical role with real influence. You will:
1. Lead infrastructure design and support for POS, ERP and warehouse management systems
2. Oversee WAN/LAN networking across stores, warehouses and head office
3. Drive cloud migration and optimisation, managing hybrid environments
4. Own and enhance the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including security and device management
5. Strengthen the organisation’s cybersecurity posture,pliance and resilience
6. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, automation and IoT
7. Collaborate closely with retail, supply chain and wider IT teams to align technology with business goals

What You Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundationbined with the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, business‑critical environment.
Essential experience and skills include:
8. A degree (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline
9. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT engineering role
10. Strong knowledge of retail systems (POS, ERP, WMS) and their infrastructure requirements
11. Proven experience with networking technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, SD‑WAN, MPLS, VPNs)
12. Hands‑on expertise across cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and virtualisation (VMware / Hyper‑V)
13. Advanced administration of Microsoft 365, including Intune and Defender
14. Experience with cybersecurity frameworks andpliance (PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001)
15. Scripting and automation capability (PowerShell, Python, Power Automate)
16. Excellentmunication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
17. Strong problem‑solving, time‑management and organisational skills
18. Flexibility, initiative and willingness to travel to other sites when required
19. Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable qualifications:
20. Experience within retail or FMCG environments
21. Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
22. Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
23. CCNP, CISSP and/or ITIL certification
