Registered Service Manager
* Annual Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus performance-related bonuses
* Location: Thornton Heath, London
* Job Type: Full-time
Join an innovative Supported Accommodation provider as a Registered Service Manager. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of a new facility aimed at setting industry standards and achieving Outstanding Ofsted ratings. Our site features a gym, library, games room, mechanics workshop, and a vegetable garden, among other facilities. We are dedicated to creating a positive environment where young people can thrive.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Induct and develop a staff team, ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational policies.
* Lead and manage care and placement planning while maintaining professional relationships with multi-agency partnerships.
* Oversee budgeting and financial management of the house.
* Provide professional supervision and mentoring for staff.
* Facilitate Ofsted inspections and regulatory reports.
* Provide regular updates to the management team and escalate issues as appropriate.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people in the home.
* Organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each young person.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ level 5 in Management and NVQ level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2-3 years' management experience, ideally with experience in Ofsted inspections.
* Experience working with children aged 16-17 who have emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of the Children's Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, The Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023, and all related relevant legislation.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
