About the role

As a Customer Assistant in one of our John Lewis shops, you'll ensure our difference is felt through outstanding customer service and exceptional in-store experiences that stand out from our competitors. Alongside great service, you'll maintain shop standards through displays, stock availability, and cleanliness. Knowing your customers will help you provide the best service and build their loyalty to our brand for a lifetime.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and inspirational customer service at every stage of the customer journey.
* Use your product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits for the Partnership.
* Prioritize the customer by understanding their needs and resolving queries.
* Support the wider team with tasks like till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing, and shop-keeping.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
* Support accurate stock counts to help protect our profits.


Essential skills/experience you'll need

* Basic IT literacy.
* Strong communication skills.


Desirable skills/experience

* Experience in a customer-facing role (training provided if not).
* Merchandising and product display experience.

Part-time hours (up to 15 hours per week) across seven days, including Saturdays and late shifts until 20:10 hrs or daytime shifts.
