We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Engineer - 12 Months FTC to join Norgine.
Core Responsibilities
* Maintenance, repair and setting up of Manufacturing, Packaging and Warehousing equipment in all production areas
* Completion of shift OEE logs
* Pro‑active resolution of frequent production issues
* Utilise modern maintenance techniques to drive improvements
* Participate in daily maintenance shift handover meetings.
* Undertake training in all equipment maintenance activities
* Undertake training of all maintenance section related SOPs
* Undertake maintenance section 5S activities
* Support development of Engineering stores and implementation of new procedures and systems
* Provide technical equipment / process support to project teams as and when required
* Provide technical support to project teams at FAT stage of equipment purchase including execution of SAT, IOQ/PQ documentation
* Support Technical and Operations staff in implementing and driving through process improvement actions to closure
* Support Technical and Operations staff in the development of equipment / process documentation and protocols
* Support Technical and Operations staff in the development of Maintenance related SOPs for new equipment purchases.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* To ensure all equipment ppm’s are completed on time, every time and returned to production with 100% machine availability for the shift
* To ensure all equipment breakdowns are resolved in a logical and timely manner and returned to production complete and tested
* To ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with company quality policies and site SOP’s
* To ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely in accordance with all Safety, Health and environment procedures.
* To ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a tidy and organised fashion respecting 5S principles.
* To ensure you are fully trained to carry out every aspect of your role.
Skills & Knowledge
* Skilled and experienced maintenance technician across all functions
* Ability to anticipate, identify and solve problems
* Ability to be part of an effective high achieving cross functional team
* Possess a high work standard, always striving to do things better
* Flexibility in approach to working and problem solving
* Have a disciplined, enthusiastic and professional approach, who leads by example.
* A high degree of knowledge of all Equipment and Maintenance functions
* Strong awareness of Quality, Production and Engineering requirements.
* A self‑starter with a high degree of initiative, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
* Computer literacy i.e. Microsoft word and excel
* Actively supports team members across all shifts in developing knowledge and skills.
* Strong teamwork and interaction skills across all shifts required.
* A min ONC or above in an electrical or mechanical related subject
* Experience of PLC and servo driven production and manufacturing machinery
* Experience working in an automated production environment
* Experience working in an highly regulated GMP environment
* Basic understanding of “6 Sigma” problem solving techniques
