An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our successful Regional Financial Lines team at Allianz. The role will be located in Southampton, with options for London, Maidstone, or Chelmsford, and requires 3 days a week on-site.
We are seeking a talented, ambitious underwriting professional to help us build a 'Best in Industry' team within the Allianz Group. Responsibilities include risk pricing, new business acquisition, claims data analysis, implementing scheme arrangements, broker queries, and renewal management, all while developing broker relationships and supporting growth.
You will participate in the Global P&C Academy for skills enhancement and have access to training platforms like DataCamp, Databricks Academy, and LinkedIn Learning. We also host regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
Salary Information
Circa £45,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and location. Salary is part of a comprehensive reward package.
About You
As a Financial Lines Underwriter, you will:
* Provide excellent customer service
* Build relationships with the Regional and UK Financial Lines Teams
* Develop broker relationships
* Achieve financial targets
* Collaborate across departments
* Process renewals and adjustments
* Ensure compliance in documentation
* Focus on broker relationship building and new business growth
Qualifications and skills include underwriting experience in Professional Indemnity (PI) and/or Directors and Officers (D&O), negotiation skills, relationship management, teamwork, self-motivation, and trading skills.
