Vacancy Job Title: Social Care Team Leader
Location: Newcastle / Gateshead
Salary / Rate of Pay: £27,500, basic regular overtime available to boost salary.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours Available: 41 hours. This equates to 3 x 12-hour session delivery in the home(s) of the people we support, plus an additional 5 hours to complete administrative tasks associated with the role. These will be completed at our Head Office in Gateshead on either a Tuesday or Thursday. Regular overtime available to top up your salary.
About The Role
KEYFORT is looking for a motivated and compassionate Social Care Team Leader to join our team. This role is perfect for an experienced Support Worker ready to progress or a recent graduate in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field looking to start their career in health and social care.
Essential Criteria
* A fulldriving licence and access to your own vehicle .
* Male applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in providing support to individuals with Brain Injuries, following Rehabilitation care plans and showcasing an understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
* Experience of working with individuals with an Autism diagnosis .
* Competence in personal care tasks, with a focus on dignity, comfort, and well-being.
* A positive and professional attitude, creating an encouraging environment for those you support.
* The ability to inspire and motivate individuals to work towards their goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
Support Provision
* Deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred support in people's homes and during office-based shifts, working on a rota over seven days.
* Act as part of the contingency plan to cover absences and holidays within the package you manage.
* Safeguard the well-being of the people you support at all times.
* Build professional and supportive relationships with the people you support and their chosen contacts.
* Identify achievable support and rehabilitation goals.
* Lead and guide Support Workers to follow and implement care plans.
* Agree support schedules with commissioners, the people we support, and Support Workers, ensuring funded hours are delivered as agreed.
* Keep the Case Manager informed of support delivery, achievements, and any issues.
Line Management
* Line manage Support Workers, including regular supervisions and observations.
* Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
* Lead by example and maintain open, clear communication with all team members.
* Work with the Recruitment team to hire Support Workers according to individual needs and preferences, and ensure they are fully briefed and trained.
