Purpose of the Job:
Be part of a team operating the production plant under the supervision of the Production Shift Manager and Team Leader. Perform chemical and manufacturing operations safely and effectively. Improve process integrity and reliability using Manufacturing Excellence tools.
Main Accountabilities:
* Operate the plant safely and efficiently
* Suggest improvements in manufacturing and safety systems
* Communicate within shifts and ensure proper handovers
* Assist engineering during maintenance shutdowns and as needed
* Support Factory Services with duties like tanker off-loading and loading, reporting deficiencies
* Report shift issues to management
* Perform plant duties such as housekeeping and cleaning as organized by the Team Leader
* Record daily data on OEE and GLA for improvement opportunities
* Follow the shift production rota
* Maintain batch documentation
* Handle raw materials, products, and energies efficiently to minimize losses
Qualifications and Skills:
* At least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
* Experience in an industrial or process manufacturing environment
* Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* NVQ Level 3 in Process Operations (Gold Standard) desirable
* Counter Balance Fork Lift Truck Licence desirable
