The Role at a Glance
Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM (Term time only), plus one inset day at the beginning of each academic year.
Salary: Grade 1 Scale 3–4 £24, £25, Pro-rata: £3,534.41 – £3,
Key Mission: To promote high-quality play and maintain a positive environment during the midday break.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the Fun: Actively encourage and participate in playground games, from traditional skipping and tag to creative imaginative play.
Safety First: Supervise students in the dining hall and playground, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
Conflict Resolution: Use a calm and fair approach to help children navigate social hurdles and play nicely together.
Support Wellbeing: Help children develop good table manners and ensure the dining area remains a clean, welcoming space.
Who We're Looking For
The "Play Expert": Someone who isn't afraid to get involved in a game of football or help build a cardboard fort.
The Communicator: You can talk to children with empathy and authority, and you work well as part of a small, busy team.
The Reliable Pro: Punctuality is key when 200 hungry children are heading your way
The Safety Mindset: An understanding of (or willingness to learn) basic first aid and safeguarding procedures.
