Job Description:
We have an opportunity to join a group committed to becoming the leading provider of sustainable products. The company develops innovative, recyclable insulated packaging for transporting chilled items, serving the food, pharmaceutical, and medical markets.
They seek a Senior Sales Manager to play a key role in their growth plans, with the potential to advance to Sales Director. The role involves managing and expanding key accounts, maximizing margins, and developing new markets such as pet food, frozen food, and pharmaceuticals.
Role Objectives
* Complete an in-depth familiarisation with the group, company, culture, products, manufacturing, and processes.
* Identify and develop sales opportunities in existing and new markets.
* Work closely with existing accounts to maximize margins.
* Build strong relationships with personnel at all levels within customer organizations.
* Coordinate between customers and manufacturing to meet expectations and business goals.
* Develop technical understanding of products to support customers effectively.
* Contribute to sales budgeting, planning, and strategy development.
* Provide sales analysis, forecasts, and reports regularly.
* Follow up on business opportunities with accurate quotations.
* Support sustainability initiatives by anticipating market trends.
* Achieve set business, sales, and financial targets.
Ideal candidates will have proven key account, sales, or business development experience within the packaging sector, especially in food, pharmaceutical, medical, or pet food markets. They should possess a technical/engineering mindset, strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships at all levels. A passion for technical sales, negotiation skills, and motivation to succeed in a growing business are essential.
