Technology Delivery Manager – LNG Trading

Harrington Starr are exciting to be partnered with a leading global energy trading organisation that operates across power, gas, LNG, and energy attributes.
They are now seeking an experienced LNG Technology Delivery Manager to drive the delivery of technology solutions that directly support and enhance the performance of their LNG trading business. This role serves as a strategic technology partner to the trading desk and plays a critical role in enabling commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
* Act as the primary technology liaison for the LNG trading desk.
* Build strong relationships with traders, analysts, and commercial teams.
* Translate trading strategies into clear, actionable technology requirements.
Technology Delivery
* Lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, from requirements through to release.
* Oversee development teams to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
* Manage budgets, timelines, and risk throughout project lifecycle.
Solution Design & Architecture
* Work closely with architects and developers to design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
* Contribute to the modernisation of the ETRM landscape and tooling, including enhancements to core applications.
* Ensure seamless integration with existing platforms, data feeds, and risk systems.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud, advanced analytics).
* Drive ongoing improvement in system reliability, usability, and performance.
* Increase user adoption and improve trader experience.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure all technology changes meet regulatory and internal standards.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit traceability.
Team Leadership
* Lead and develop a team of senior technologists, ensuring clear objectives and continuous skills growth.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background in delivering technology within a trading environment.
* Deep understanding of LNG trading workflows, shipping operations, freight, and risk management.
* Experience with ETRM platforms (experience with EOS or Endur is highly beneficial).
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior front-office teams.
* Proven experience running modernisation or transformation programmes.
* Technical foundation in software development, integration, or data engineering (advantageous).
* Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving ability.
