A little bit about the role...
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Design and implement system architecture that supports service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles, utilizing tools such as Pegasystems and AWS.
* Conduct systems engineering tasks, including system design, administration, and optimization of IT infrastructure.
* Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
* Implement load balancing strategies and ensure robust computer networking practices are followed.
* Manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server while ensuring data integrity and security.
* Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), and Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
* Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies to deliver projects efficiently.
* Ensure information security measures are in place across all systems, including the management of firewalls and VPNs.
* Engage in DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git.
* Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and ESXi to optimize resource utilization within the IT environment.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in operating systems including Windows and Linux environments.
* Familiarity with NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs for system integration.
* Understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management of microservices architectures.
* Experience with DNS, DHCP, load balancing techniques, and firewall configurations is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of solution architecture principles is a plus, along with hands-on experience in system administration tasks.
