Qualified Social Worker
CAFCASS
Location: Wales
Pay rate: £41 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join a dedicated CAFCASS team. This role offers hybrid working and is a minimum 6-month contract. Successful candidates must have experience in court work. You will support in delivering person-centred, safe, and effective social care services, making assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Using your social work experience and communication skills, you will establish relationships with service users and agencies to ensure needs are met. Your goal is to achieve positive outcomes for children, supporting families to thrive and flourish, with a focus on protecting the vulnerable and efficiency.
In this role, the ideal candidate will:
* Provide advanced social work services to children, families, and courts by assessing court applications related to child protection and welfare issues.
* Influence parental responsibility to be child-focused and advise courts to improve children's lives, supporting judicial case management.
* Maintain a child-centred approach through direct work with children and families, and negotiate effectively with family members and professionals.
* Advocate for children’s best interests, ensuring their voices are heard in court.
* Be resilient, reflective, and organized, capable of managing a high volume of casework.
* Be able to travel into Wales occasionally.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Degree in Social Work with 3+ years post-qualifying experience
* Full Social Work England registration
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Eligibility to work in the UK
