Who you are
You would need
o – Experience producing Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans,
o – Understanding of relevant local and national transport policy and guidance
o Good organisation, communication, analytical and presentation skills, and a desire to innovate and improve through continual professional development;
o 5+ years’ experience working in private consultancy development planning across multiple sectors, preferably including residential, commercial, industrial & logistics;
o Demonstrable experience producing Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, ES Transport Chapters and Active Travel Audits, as well as their associated calculations;
o To be proficient in preliminary highway design through competent use of AutoCAD and application of relevant design standards;
o To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 software – especially MS Word and MS Excel;
o To be a competent user of junction capacity modelling software such as TRL Junctions and LinSig/Quickgreen, and other key industry software programs such as TRICS and TEMPro;
o To be a competent user of a GIS software package (preferably QGIS or Podaris);
o To assist with running/managing projects, including staff resourcing, project deliverables, project financials, liaising with clients and other key stakeholders;
o Have an aspiration to assist in the growth of the Nottingham Transport Planning Team and to start a new and exciting chapter in your career.
