Role and Responsibilities
– PCB and Electronic Design: Engage in the design and build support for a variety of projects, collaborating with Mechanical, Electronics, and Embedded Software Teams.
– Testing and Documentation: Conduct and document testing on Printed Circuit Boards, ensuring precision and accuracy.
– Manual Rework: Perform manual population and rework of PCB Assemblies, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
Skills and Experience Required
– PCB Assembly and Rework: Proficient in using laboratory equipment for PCB assembly and rework, including working with extremely small surface mount components under a microscope.
– Circuit Design Changes: Capable of proposing and implementing circuit design changes manually.
– Practical Electronics Knowledge: Solid understanding of practical electronics.
– Mechanical Design Interface: Some experience in mechanical design to effectively collaborate with the mechanical design team during PCB layout.
– Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the safe use of hand and small power tools for building or modifying mechanical parts of designs.
– Prototype Production: Ability to produce prototypes or test fixtures with limited specifications, seeking clarity from designers as needed.
