About More2Life
More2Life, part of Key Group, has been a leading force in the equity release market since 2008. From our Preston office, we support thousands of customers every month in unlocking a better retirement, making us one of the UK's largest lifetime mortgage lenders.
We're now looking for an experienced Conveyancer to join our in-house Property Legal Team, supporting our lending operations through technical conveyancing expertise and title-based problem-solving.
The Role
You'll play an important role in reviewing complex titles, resolving non-standard property issues, and helping ensure that equity release cases progress safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory expectations.
This role is ideal for a conveyancer who enjoys investigating title issues, supporting complex cases and working closely with wider business teams, rather than traditional conveyancing workloads.
What You'll Be Doing
Reviewing and interpreting residential property titles, including non-standard or high-risk cases
Investigating issues such as restrictive covenants, easements, leasehold complexities, unregistered land, trusts, shared ownership and overage provisions
Supporting the resolution of title defects that could impact lender security or customer outcomes
Advising on title acceptability for lifetime mortgages
Supporting escalated cases from paralegals and conveyancing teams
Handling Land Registry matters, discharges and post-completion queries
Ensuring conveyancing activity aligns with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty and Equity Release Council standards
Contributing to quality assurance, legal risk reviews and process improvements
Sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues across the legal and property teams
What We're Looking For
Essential
Strong experience in residential conveyancing
Confident reviewing and interpreting complex title documentation
Comfortable assessing legal risk and escalating issues appropriately
Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Desirable
Experience in equity release or mortgage lending
Understanding of Consumer Duty or regulated lending environments
Experience supporting technical or escalated conveyancing cases
Interest in long-term development within an in-house legal or property team
(Qualified solicitors are welcome to apply, but this role is equally suited to experienced conveyancers looking to progress.)
Why Join Us
In-house conveyancing role - no fee targets or completion pressures
Greater exposure to technical conveyancing and property risk
Opportunity to develop your expertise beyond day-to-day transactions
Supportive team with clear development pathways
Hybrid working from our Preston office
Competitive benefits package and long-term career opportunities within Key Group
Our Values
At Key Group, our values guide everything we do: Ambitious | Supportive | Personal | Integrity | Responsive | Expert
