We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied accounting role and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and keeping financial processes running smoothly.
This role will have a strong focus on manual reconciliations, invoice processing, and supporting the wider finance function with day-to-day accounting activities.
What you'll be doing:
* Processing purchase invoices across multiple divisions and allocating costs accurately
* Carrying out statement reconciliations and manual account reconciliations
* Posting payments and receipts
* Supporting month-end processes, including intercompany reconciliations and reporting
* Assisting with various finance administration tasks and ad hoc duties
* Working closely with other departments to support smooth financial operations
What we're looking for:
* Previous experience in a varied finance/accounts role
* Experience with sales and purchase ledger processes
* Knowledge of Sage 50, Sage 200 or similar accounting systems
* Strong Excel and IT skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* A self-motivated problem solver with a positive and flexible approach
