Overview
Must be a UK resident and live within commutable distance to Gateshead, Tyne & Wear.
This role will be Gateshead based with extensive travel throughout the UK and occasionally internationally. It is a permanent role, with Mon-Fri day time working hours with occasional overtime.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure all instrumentation is installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards.
The role will support UK and international customers directly, with extensive travel throughout the UK and occasionally internationally.
Working closely with Technical Support and the Service Manager to ensure all customer issues are addressed appropriately, within established KPI’s, to ensure a positive outcome for the customer.
Essential skills
* A strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and software.
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
* Available for extensive travel within the UK, including overnight stays.
* Full UK driving license.
* Previous experience with medical or IVD devices.
* Previous experience working with the NHS.
* Previous experience training others in a formal capacity.
* Working knowledge of IT networking and database.
