About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join our Fabrication team based in Ewelm. You will report to the Fabrication Container & Events Manager and will play a key role in driving our mission forward by carrying out high‑quality shot blasting and paint spraying of waste management containers and equipment, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepared, treated, and finished to company standards. Please note due to the location of this role you will require access to your own transport.
Key responsibilities
* Operate shot blasting and painting equipment to prepare and finish containers and machinery to a high standard.
* Assist welder fabricators with lifting, cleaning, and minor repairs when needed.
* Prepare and clean containers, bins, and equipment for service, repair, painting, or delivery.
* Apply vinyl artwork in line with company guidelines to maintain a professional, high‑quality finish.
* Maintain and service workshop equipment, reporting any defects promptly.
* Keep storage and workshop areas clean, organised, and well‑stocked, managing paints, materials, and equipment efficiently.
* Identify and suggest process improvements to reduce lead times, costs, and improve overall efficiency.
* Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including health and safety and employment.
* Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as well as other duties, such as ad hoc projects, as requested by the job holder’s Manager/Supervisor or the Board of Directors that are within the skills and capabilities of the job.

About you
* Experience in airless spraying would be an advantage (training can be given).
* Knowledge of shot blasting is an advantage (training can be given).
* Oversee and maintain inventory of paints and equipment.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, effectively prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
* Ensure accurate and organised maintenance of paper records.
* Flexible, proactive, and detail‑oriented with a “can‑do” attitude.
* A good understanding of health & safety within the workplace.
