Job overview
We would love a great SLT passionate about neuro rehab to join our team at the Intermediate Neuro Rehab Unit based at Trafford General Hospital. You will be part of a friendly, supportive SLT team on the unit and wider SLT team as well as a highly-skilled IDT. You will benefit from regular structured supervision, inservices and CPD opportunities.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high quality, evidenced-based and efficient specialised SLT service for patients based on the Intermediate Neurorehabilitation Unit
To autonomously assess, diagnose and manage patients with complex presentations of communication impairment, and /or dysphagia due to neurological aetiology/brain injury.
To provide input to the teaching, research, audit and service development functions of the department.
To participate in local and regional service delivery projects.
To provide supervision and training to others.
To actively participate in CPD opportunities to maintain and expand clinical knowledge.
