About the role
As a Pastoral Coach within Foundation Learning, you will support learners to re‑engage with education and work towards their individual goals, preparing them for progression into further learning, training or employment and positive destinations.
You will engage and motivate learners who face barriers to learning, addressing issues such as attendance, punctuality, motivation and attitudes to learning.
The role includes delivering both one‑to‑one and group sessions to promote wellbeing, personal development and progression.
Responsibilities
* Support learners to re‑engage with education and work towards individual goals.
* Engage and motivate learners facing barriers to learning, addressing attendance, punctuality, motivation and attitudes.
* Deliver one‑to‑one and group pastoral coaching sessions promoting wellbeing and personal development.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of learners in line with the college’s safeguarding policies.
Requirements
* Successful completion of pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) if the role involves direct interaction with learners.
Additional information
Postholders may request flexible working, including limited remote working, through the College’s Flexible Working Process. Requests are considered individually based on role needs and service coverage.
