๐ฏ Main Purpose of Job:
* ๐ To assist the designated line manager in providing a comprehensive, efficient, and effective business support service, incorporating essential Information Technology skills.
* โ
To execute assigned duties and tasks independently or collaboratively to meet defined time and quality standards, while managing priorities effectively.
* ๐ค To represent the line manager in routine matters within the scope of responsibility.
* โจ To adhere to and uphold the Councilโs customer care principles, ensuring continued improvement and compliance with the Councilโs service standards.
๐ ๏ธ Summary of Responsibilities and Duties:
1. ๐ Clerical Support: Provide administrative support, maintaining computerised and manual systems (e.g., filing, photocopying, mail management).
2. ๐ผ Business Support Tasks: Perform various assigned business support tasks, including cash handling, call handling, data input/extraction, and other related duties.
3. ๐ Word Processing: Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents from drafts or audio tapes, including creative layouts like PowerPoint presentations.
4. ๐ป IT Utilisation: Use basic office IT software and specific council/department IT systems.
5. ๐ Data Management: Assist in preparing, compiling, and distributing routine statistical, performance, and other information.
6. ๐ Admin Support: Assist in routine business-related activities (e.g., finance, HR, customer support, IS/IT).
7. ๐ฅ Meetings Administration: Arrange meetings and prepare accurate minutes or notes as required.
8. ๐ฌ Customer Care: Deliver excellent customer service via face-to-face interactions, telephone, or email, including covering front desk/reception duties when needed.
9. ๐ Office Equipment Usage: Operate office equipment such as binders, laminators, fax machines, photocopiers, and shredders.
10. ๐ Self-Management: Understand team objectives and prioritise personal work to adhere to performance standards.
11. ๐ Training and Development: Identify personal and team training needs and participate in skill enhancement programs.
12. ๐ Other Duties: Conduct other relevant occasional duties as assigned by the line manager.

โญ Essential Criteria:
* ๐ฑ๏ธ All applicants will be required to undertake a computer-based assessment called โISV.โ This assessment will involve a minimum of 4 skills-based tests, including general aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* โ๏ธ Only applicants passing these tests to a satisfactory level will proceed to the interview stage. High-scoring applicants may be prioritised for interviews.
