Due to continued expansion, HAYLEY DEXIS has a vacancy for a Fluid Power Technician / Mobile Engineer to work within our well-established and experienced team based in the Exeter area and regionally. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary. About the role: As an experience mobile engineer you’ll be working through your jobs list, typically booked 3 weeks in advanced as well as supporting call outs. You’ll be visiting customer sites as well as Hayley Group branches across the region. As an experienced fluid power technician with pneumatics and hydraulics experience, you’ll be servicing onsite and inhouse systems, assembling and testing hydraulic & pneumatic systems and assembling and installing hydraulic hoses and fittings. You’ll also undertake onsite air leak surveys and follow up with remedial work along with general mechanical engineering. Developing in these roles is what we’re looking for from our people and doing things like spotting sales opportunities with our customers and good customer engagement is something that we are looking for at the next level up. If you are driven, committed and organised we can’t wait to hear from you! Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Out of hours and weekend work will be required on an ad hoc basis. Essential Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our Fluid Power Technician: Excellent general engineering & hand tool skills Fluid power experience Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good time management skills Problem solving Intermediate IT skills Excellent communication skills Full UK driving licence Desirable Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our Fluid Power Technician: NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering Cetop stage 1 hydraulic expertise. Basic pneumatics skills at Level 1. Proven record in the MRO environment for hydraulic systems. Confident in fully identifying hose assemblies which need changing or cataloguing. Ability to understand the basics of a hydraulic systems and the implications of replacing hose assemblies within a customer’s manufacturing environment.
