We have an exciting opportunity for a Fresh Food Coach working within our Blakemore Retail division.
A day in the life of…
As Fresh food coach, you will support our Store/Regional Managers with the development of sales & profitability of our fresh departments within our company-owned SPAR stores. Our fresh categories include our own brand Food to go, company-owned Philpotts, Foodservice partners Greggs & Subway, produce, meat, and flower departments.
About the Role
Retail is constantly evolving. As we transform our stores and grow our presence to meet increasing customer demand, we seek customer-focused leaders to support Store Managers in delivering service excellence. The successful candidate will be passionate about our purpose and customers, ensuring our fresh departments meet the highest standards and provide an outstanding shopping experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting all aspects of fresh department development in approximately 20 company-owned stores.
* Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance product ranges with the Trading department.
* Launching new products effectively.
* Supporting store relaunches with staff training and standards compliance.
* Implementing and monitoring core ranges and layouts for maximum impact.
* Maximizing promotional activities in collaboration with the Trading department.
* Reviewing equipment and fixtures to maximize sales potential.
* Monitoring sales, GP, waste, and overrides, taking corrective actions as needed.
* Ensuring legal compliance through system development and audits.
* Assisting in staff recruitment for the 'Fresh' departments.
* Developing and delivering in-store training programs for Food Service staff.
* Ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet sales targets.
* Maintaining relationships with franchise partners.
* Modeling our ‘Blakemore Way’ leadership values.
* Identifying and developing talent within store departments.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Understanding of Natasha’s law
* Basic IT skills
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Experience in food safety training
* Self-motivated and flexible
* Full UK driving license
