We are recruiting a Support Worker for our Supported Housing service in Sheffield. The service supports people with mental health conditions to learn to live independently in the community, supporting them to learn and build upon their skills and pursue their life aspirations.
You do not need previous experience in mental health, but it would be advantageous. We seek individuals with the right values and a desire to help others improve their lives. If you're looking to start or advance a career in Care and Support and are people-oriented, we encourage you to apply.
A comprehensive training package will be provided. Your role will involve supporting adults with complex mental health difficulties, working closely with them to manage their mental health and develop or regain skills necessary for maintaining a tenancy, daily living, and community engagement. You will be assigned clients with whom you will have regular key working sessions.
You should be flexible, as some weekend and evening work may be required. Night shifts are not part of this role.
The position is based at one of our Supported Living services in Sheffield. We will provide all necessary resources to help you succeed. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in mental health and looking to start a career in adult social care. The key qualities are a passion for delivering excellent, dignified service to vulnerable adults, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the confidence to interact with clients with patience and compassion.
To ensure the safety and quality of our services, an enhanced background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (including the Adult Barred list) will be conducted once an employment offer is made.
Please note: we do not currently offer visa sponsorship.
