Activity Co-ordinator - Cygnet Hospital Godden Green

We are looking for an Activity Co-ordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care to develop, plan and implement activities for our patients based at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green, which provides specialist acute and PICU services for women.

You will be providing activities to patients across various service lines within the hospital. Your main job is to co-ordinate, design and deliver a co-produced, personalised activity programme that is occupationally balanced, risk-assessed and fully resourced, so that all individuals have the opportunity and are encouraged to engage in at least 25 hours of meaningful activity each week.

You will be working 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, which includes weekends. A driver’s license is preferred due to the hospital’s remote location.

Previous experience in a Mental Health hospital is preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided along with ongoing opportunities for professional development.

In This Role, You Will

* Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital, maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward patients, their families, staff, visitors and key stakeholders.
* Plan and facilitate activities to promote the well-being of patients, promoting social engagement and meaningful activity.
* Support patients to create independent and focused activity plans based on their interests and goals, supporting strengths and aim to improve motivation and engagement.
* Create an atmosphere and working practices in line with the Recovery Model and Cygnet Values.
* Coproduce and implement activity programmes and be proactive in preparing and maintaining appropriate materials and resources.
* Accompany patients to off-site community activities as required and be able to drive hospital vehicles.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure patients can access all elements of their treatment.
