Following the recent service redesign, we have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational candidate to lead our Housing Needs Service. You will have the opportunity help shape the future of the service, including the development of a new Homeless Strategy for the district. The role would see you be the strategic and visionary lead for the Council’s ambition to see good housing across sectors. With 4 direct reports and a team of almost 30 staff, you would be responsible for the development, delivery, co-ordination and integration of services for Homelessness, Housing Advice and Allocations (HomeChoice), and Temporary Accommodation and Rough Sleeping. The Housing Needs Service is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that faces a range of challenges in meeting the housing needs of the district's residents. By becoming part of an expanding team who are focused on preventing households from becoming homeless, as well as providing tailored support and interventions when someone does become homeless, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference to the housing circumstances of many people in our district. For this role we are looking for someone with minimum of 6 years’ experience of managing staff and delivering customer focused quality services in a housing, community partnership or related environment. The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
