The Role
Working as a key part of the commercial team and reporting to the overall Commercial Manager, you will play a vital role in the commercial delivery of a major, flagship project in Cardiff. You’ll be responsible for managing costs, contracts, procurement and subcontractor relationships to ensure the project is delivered on time and to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the commercial management of the project from start to finish
2. Subcontractor procurement and management
3. Cost control, forecasting, and reporting
4. Contract administration (NEC or JCT experience preferred)
5. Working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders
6. Contributing to value engineering and risk management
About You
7. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
8. Track record of working on large-scale construction projects
9. Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of contract law
10. Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
11. Driven, detail-oriented and career-focused
