Senior Static Stress Engineer - Aircraft Research & Technology | Belcan
Belcan is seeking an experienced Senior Static Stress Engineer with a strong track record in airframe structural analysis to join our cutting-edge Research & Technology team. You'll be driving correlation between physical test results and analytical outputs, owning your work, and keeping programmes on track with confidence and independence. This is long-term contract role and is Inside IR35.
What You'll Be Doing
* Interrogate, navigate, and interpret GFEM models to correlate analysis with test outcomes
* Perform detailed test data analysis
* Produce clear, professional reports in the established Airbus style
What You Will Bring
* Proven experience as an aircraft stress engineer, analysing primary structures using both hand calculations and computational methods (including ISAMI)
* Strong background in linear FEA (Nastran, Patran / HyperMesh)
* Solid understanding of aircraft production methods
* Ability to quickly assess structural challenges and guide team members effectively
* Self-driven, comfortable working autonomously, and proactive in solving problems
* Excellent communication across presentations, discussions, and technical reports
