As part of your apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto the Construction Civil Engineering SCQF 5 programme, which will take approximately 24 months to complete. You will be fully supported by our partnered college, with 1â2â1 guidance, eâlearning materials and a team of experts providing technical support in the workplace. Routine and cyclical maintenance activities. \n\nMinor civil and drainage works. \n\nCarriageway patching. \n\nMaintain high technical standards. \n\nAttend project and work briefings as required. \n\nDrive and operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills. \n\nCarry out vehicle checks, routine maintenance (e.g., oil and water checks) and cleaning. \n\nUndertake all aspects of highway maintenance, including litter picking and general labouring tasks. \n\nParticipate in winter maintenance operations. \n\nAssist with emergency callâout operations. \n\nTake responsibility for your safety and the safety of your team, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and protecting the public. \n\nCarry out vehicle checks prior to shift start, completing defect books correctly. \n\nRecord driversâ hours accurately. \n\nAllocate and record time and resource utilisation in line with operational systems. \n\nKeep records and complete necessary paperwork while communicating effectively with Amey colleagues, subcontractors, emergency services, police, clients, customers and the public. Scottish National 5s (AâC), including English, Maths and Science. \n\nFull UK driving licence. \n\nAbility to meet DBS requirements. \n\nBasic knowledge of health and safety. \n\nPassion for developing your skills both professionally and personally. \n\nEnthusiasm to be part of a highâperforming team with a drive for success.
