✨ Role Overview
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and passionate Librarian to lead the daily operation of a busy school library and promote a strong reading culture across the school community.
📘 Key Responsibilities
Manage the library's daily operations, ensuring a calm, welcoming, and well‑organised environment.
Oversee cataloguing, issuing, and tracking of books and resources.
Support reading initiatives, homework clubs, and independent learning.
Work with teaching staff to ensure students can access relevant learning materials.
Organise reading activities, events, and author visits.
Maintain library systems, displays, and ICT resources.
Uphold safeguarding, ensure GDPR compliance, and support staff and students using the library.
📌 Requirements
Strong passion for reading and supporting young learners.
Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
Experience working with young people or in an educational library setting (desirable).
Ability to supervise students and maintain a positive learning environment.
Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
