We have an exciting opportunity for a committed person to join us at Bridlington Cricket Foundation in the role of Community Engagement Officer
Hours will vary in line with programme needs and may include delivery in the evenings and, as well as delivery aligned to school route timings
The Community Engagement Officer will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of various community projects such as Walking Cricket, Roses Cricket. Young Leaders Academy, Girls Cricket.
You will:
* Support with the development and successful delivery, of all Community Engagement programmes, ensuring existing provisions continue to be successful and achieve targets
* Engage and inspire participants in primary and secondary schools through educational programmes.
* Be proactive and constantly seek new opportunities and ways to develop the community engagement department of the Foundation.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders across the region including but not limited to those from underrepresented groups.
* Deliver engaging, high-quality girls’ cricket sessions across schools, clubs and community settings, including festivals, holiday programmes and innovative formats
* Deliver one-to-one mentoring support ensuring suitable pathways are available for beneficiaries to reach their potential.
* Deliver Young Leadership Qualifications
* Collect and collate the required monitoring and evaluation information, ensuring it is recorded using the appropriate system in a timely and accurate manner.
* Be a flexible member of the Foundation’s Community team and when requested assist in the delivery of other projects and activities including evenings and weekends.
Person Specification
* Experience delivering sport to children and young people
* Coaching qualification (ECB Foundation Coach minimum)
* Strong communication and engagement skills
* Proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with schools and external partners
* Commitment to inclusive practice
* Flexibility to adapt delivery to meet different needs
* Ability to travel independently across Bridlington and surrounding areas
* Experience of girls’ or women’s sport development
* Experience of leadership or volunteering programmes
* Cricket coaching or development experience
* Experience of bid writing
* Experience supporting events or major engagement programmes
Working hours and contract
These are casual, zero hours roles with immediate start available. You should be able to commit to a minimum of five hours per week, with opportunities to work additional hours depending on programme needs.
