The Opportunity
We\'re searching for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting students with a wide range of needs. This role is perfect for a caring individual who wants to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. You\'ll collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their personal best.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Work alongside the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to all.
* Help create a calm and encouraging classroom where students feel secure and motivated to learn.
* Support students\' social, emotional, and physical development.
* Adjust learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of individual students.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
* Assist with the overall well-being and supervision of students throughout the school day.
What We\'re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people, with a strong preference for experience in an SEN setting.
* A caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to be flexible and resourceful.
* A positive attitude and a true commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
* A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are a plus, but not required.
