Job Role - Trainee Water Tank Engineer (Water Treatment & Installation Industry)

As a Trainee Water Tank Engineer in Tamworth, you will work alongside an experienced installation team erecting and maintaining GRP sectional water tanks at customer sites throughout the UK. The role involves working from technical drawings, using hand and power tools, and installing tank components while maintaining high safety and quality standards within the water treatment and installation industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the erection of GRP sectional water tanks
• Working from layout plans and technical drawings
• Installing internal tank components, including ladders, access hatches, and connections
• Using hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, and wrenches
• Working safely at height
• Travelling to customer sites across the UK
• Supporting the site installation team on projects
• Liaising with warehouse and installation teams
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Carrying out any other duties required to support operations

Requirements

• Practical and hands-on approach to work
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to work at height
• Willingness to travel nationwide
• Flexible regarding occasional weekend work and overnight stays
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
• Previous construction, engineering, or installation experience beneficial but not essential
