Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with the ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff effectively and to support the Head Chef where needed. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional batch cook meals while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and culinary excellence.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Previous experience of batch cooking
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
