Job title: Compliance Auditor

Salary: Up to £38,604 depending on skills and experience
Responsibilities
* Conducting compliance audits on all explosive licensed buildings and hazardous locations on site including storage magazines, process buildings, range locations, chemical stores, blast mounds, etc.
* Support and advise area owners and/or union appointed safety reps during local workplace inspections
* Verify the accuracy of internal checks including Process Area Verification Audits and Building Condition Inspections
* Complete building condition reports and make recommendations
* Identify action owners and upload actions onto recognised systems
* Support and advise on action closeout working with business SMEs to agree a solution
* Support High Hazard Advisors with Explosive Regulation Audits
* Conduct stock checks on energetics or explosives articles and verify they do not exceed the explosive licence or Work Area Safety Conditions (WASC)
Your skills and experiences
* Previous experience of working in an industrial/manufacturing background
* Able to interpret requirements of Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and Guidance
* Competent in using IT such as MS Office packages

The Compliance Auditor Assurance team
Working within the BAE Land UK High Hazard team. This team is multi-disciplined which includes roles such as Explosives safety experts, Human factors, chemical and process engineers, etc. The High Hazard team is a central function supporting the 5 main sites within Land UK and providing specialist advice for safe operations.
There are a number of significant projects which are at various stages of delivery. Projects include the design and build of new facilities to support customer demand, existing building and site refurbishments, process improvement etc. The High Hazard team is responsible for the delivery of Explosives Licensing and the management of the Control of Major Accident Hazards regulation (COMAH) as well at advising and supporting best practice for Explosive safety management within the business.
