NHS Dumfries and Galloway has an exciting opportunity for a Podiatrist to join our enthusiastic and motivated Podiatry team, dedicated to delivering high quality, person centred care across our rural region.

This post is community based providing community-focused podiatry care to a diverse and geographically varied population.

Whether you are an experienced clinician or newly qualified, you will be joining a proactive and supportive team that works collaboratively within the wider multidisciplinary network including AHPs, nursing teams and community partners to deliver excellent clinical outcomes and contribute to effective treatment planning.

Newly qualified podiatrists will be supported through the Flying Start NHS programme, ensuring a structured and supported transition into practice with dedicated development time, supervision and learning opportunities.

In this community based role, you will plan, manage and deliver a broad range of podiatric interventions. You will work across preventive, palliative and corrective care and provide ongoing support and supervision to Podiatry Healthcare Support Workers.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
