You'll join our Production team, playing a key role in building, wiring and assembling advanced laser and robotic systems used by leading manufacturers worldwide. This is a hands-on, practical role where you'll contribute directly to the build of industrial equipment that enables life-changing products.
Your work will support the safe, reliable and high-quality delivery of Laser Wire Solutions' systems, ensuring customer specifications are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
Typical tasks include:
* Building mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and piece parts to agreed build schedules.
* Assembling and wiring electrical control panels for industrial applications.
* Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols independently.
* Supporting machine builds from mechanical construction through to final integration.
* Assisting with fault finding and troubleshooting during build and test phases.
* Using essential software tools such as Excel and Factory Master for job tracking and documentation.
* Working closely with Engineering, Production and other teams to improve build quality, efficiency and design robustness.
* Some potential opportunities to work within Project group on Customisation projects and also within the Medical device section supporting Production runs.
* Maintaining a safe, organised and well-presented working environment.
What We're Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline.
* A practical, hands-on individual who takes pride in building things properly.
* A solid understanding of production environments and workshop processes.
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow structured build instructions.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
* Positive, reliable and proactive in approach.
* Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge of laser and automation systems.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Able to thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
