Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Secondary School September Start

We are seeking a committed and proactive HLTA to join a dynamic secondary school in the Colchester area from September 2025.
Location: Colchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: £90 - £125 per day
The Role:
* Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a range of subjects
* Deliver small group interventions and, where appropriate, lead full class sessions in the absence of a teacher
* Assist with planning and adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
* Provide targeted 1:1 support to students with SEND or additional needs
* Help maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively
* Liaise with teaching staff to monitor student progress and support learning goals

* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Previous experience in a secondary school setting
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A positive, flexible, and professional approach
* Commitment to supporting student progress and wellbeing
