We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic consultants with a special interest in Intensive Care Medicine and an associated specialty in Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine, or other compatible Medical base specialties, to join our progressive team of intensivists and allied professionals.
The Trust has close clinical and academic ties with local medical schools and will be actively involved in the new Kent medical school. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students associated with these universities.
Applicants should have full GMC registration and a License to Practice, and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of receiving CCT at the time of interview. An Enhanced DBS (Adults and Children) check is required for this post.

The Trust's critical care units are among the best in the UK, with excellent ICNARC outcomes and a reputation for evidence-based practice, education, and training. The Intensive Care team is a multidisciplinary body comprising consultants in critical care and other specialties, fostering strong relationships within the trust.
The critical care team is heavily involved in research, education, and training. There is a 24/7 Critical Care outreach service, including Intensive and vascular access services, with both consultant-led sessions and follow-up clinics.
The new appointee will join a team of 15 Critical Care Consultants responsible for the Trust's two critical care units. There are excellent opportunities to develop personal interests such as echocardiography, research, governance, outreach, and ICU follow-up.
Responsibilities include managing patients referred to you and cared for by your team, participating in clinical and service activities to ensure high standards of patient care, and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to improve healthcare delivery.
