About the Role
Aspire People is seeking a compassionate, resilient, and skilled SEMH Community Outreach Teacher to support children and young people across Solihull who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a community based role, working with pupils outside of mainstream settings, often in homes, libraries, community centres, or alternative provision spaces.
Your work will focus on re engaging learners, building trust, and delivering personalised education that helps pupils regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and make academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Class or small group outreach teaching to pupils with SEMH needs.
* Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning plans.
* Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and families.
* Work collaboratively with Aspire People, local schools, external agencies, and pastoral teams.
* Support pupils' emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to reintegration plans where appropriate.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with SEMH, alternative provision, PRUs, or behaviour support.
* Strong behaviour management and de escalation skills.
* Ability to work independently in community settings.
* Must be able to drive and hold valid driver's license.
* A nurturing, patient, and trauma informed approach.
Salary
* Competitive daily rate (typically up to £223 per day, depending on experience).
