About the role This is a full-time role based onsite at our facility in Colnbrook on Poyle Trading Estate. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Inspecting, repairing and servicing the cargo movement and handling equipment; · Maintenance of cable drum brakes, wheel bearings, conveyor roller beds, and chassis turntables; · Welding. About You As a Fitter, we would ask you bring the following skills and experience: · A basic understanding of simple mechanical systems; · Practical experience with mechanical systems gained through previous employment, education, or relevant hobbies/interests; · Confident with hands‑on, practical tasks; · Entry‑level (Level 2) English literacy skills; · Ability to perform effectively under pressure; · A proactive and motivated approach to learning in a hands‑on environment; · Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; · Experience with welding is also desirable. Additional Requirements The successful candidate will be required to undertake security vetting, which includes a criminal records check and the provision of five years’ continuous education and/or employment references.
