**Nostalgic Documentary-Style YouTube Video Editor Needed — Ongoing Work**

I run a growing YouTube channel producing documentary-style nostalgia content focused on everyday life experiences from the 1960s to 1990s in America. I'm looking for a skilled video editor to help scale production.
**What you'll be doing:**
You'll be creating 15-25 minute faceless documentary-style videos from start to finish using scripts I provide. Each video combines archival footage, vintage photographs, atmospheric background music, and professional AI voiceover narration. The tone is warm, cinematic, and immersive — think high-quality TV documentary, not generic YouTube compilation.

**Skills and experience required:**
- Strong proficiency in video editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro)
- Experience sourcing and working with royalty-free archival footage and vintage imagery, Pexels, Pixabay, Pond5, etc.)
- Ability to sync visuals precisely to voiceover narration, matching imagery to the script's subject matter scene by scene
- Understanding of pacing and storytelling in long-form documentary content
- Experience with smooth transitions, and subtle motion graphics (lower thirds, text overlays, chapter markers)
- Competence with colour grading to achieve a consistent vintage/nostalgic aesthetic
- Familiarity with YouTube best practices including thumbnail creation, end screens, and cards
- Knowledge of royalty-free and copyright-safe music sourcing (Epidemic Sound, Artlist, or YouTube Audio Library)
- Ability to work with AI-generated voiceover files (ElevenLabs or similar)
- Reliable turnaround times and clear communication
**Nice to have:**
- Genuine interest in or knowledge of 20th century nostalgia, retro culture, and social history
- Experience with YouTube SEO (titles, descriptions, tags, chapters)
- Thumbnail design skills (Photoshop/Canva)
**The arrangement:**
This is an ongoing role with the aim of producing 4-8 videos per month. I provide the full script, voiceover audio, and creative direction. You handle the visual edit, music selection, and final production. There is a strong pipeline of content planned, so this is a long-term opportunity for the right person.
