Are you an experienced and hands-on warehouse leader ready to take charge of a dynamic operation? We are seeking a proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy, fast-paced warehouse in a well-established, independent company.
This pivotal role involves managing a diverse team, ensuring efficient stock handling and order fulfilment, maintaining a safe and well-organised facility, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee goods-in, order picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
2. Manage inventory accuracy and warehouse layout for optimal flow.
3. Lead and motivate warehouse operatives, supervisors, and drivers.
4. Set and track KPIs such as OTIF and picking accuracy.
5. Coordinate deliveries and liaise with internal teams and drivers.
6. Uphold health & safety standards and compliance requirements.
7. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
8. Drive sustainability initiatives and operational improvements.
What You'll Need
9. 5 years in warehouse/logistics management, ideally in B2B or wholesale.
10. Proven track record of team leadership and KPI delivery.
11. Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse systems.
12. Health & Safety knowledge (IOSH/NEBOSH advantageous).
13. Hands-on approach and proactive leadership style.
14. Microsoft Office proficiency and valid UK driving licence.
Desirable
15. Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
16. Background in catering supply, FMCG, or hospitality sectors.
17. Experience with sustainability in warehouse settings.
