The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing a warehouse/yard in a fast-paced environment and experience of effectively running a successful function. The individual will be responsible for the yard/warehouse operation and for providing excellent standards of service, efficiency, and performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the yard/warehouse department
* Efficiently managing a team of yard/warehouse staff, ensuring orders are correct and on time, providing top quality customer service
* Responsibility for all goods in/out
* Ensuring company compliance of all warehouse/yard policies, legislations and procedures as well as taking responsibility for health and safety issues of the warehouse/yard
* Managing, monitoring, and developing a team of warehouse/yard staff
* Involvement in strategic development and improvements
* Ensuring housekeeping is well maintained including excellent external presentation of our branch.
* Maintain accurate administrative records.
* Providing excellent standards of service, efficiency, and performance.
Experience And Skills
* Previous foreman/management experience, with a proven track record of managing a fast-paced environment would be desirable.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Strong people management skills
* Experience within the merchant industry is essential.
