A rare pathway into a full‑time in‑house role
This is a genuinely uncommon opportunity for an experienced commercial property solicitor who is looking to move closer to an in‑house role, without giving up the security, support or quality of private practice.
The position has been created to support a well‑established international food and drink business with a significant UK property presence. The business manages a substantial owned and leased property portfolio, and the volume and complexity of work has reached the point where having dedicated, consistent in‑house legal support is now essential.
The role is hybrid by design, initially combining time spent embedded within the business in Cheshire with access to a supportive private practice environment. Importantly, this is not a secondment and not a short‑term fix — there is a clear and realistic intention for the role to evolve into a full‑time in‑house commercial property position.
Why this role is different
* True in‑house exposure from day one, working closely with commercial stakeholders
* A rare chance to move towards in‑house without stepping away from private practice support too quickly
* The role already exists in practice — you’re stepping into a well‑established relationship, not building one from scratch
* Long‑term progression into a dedicated in‑house position is genuinely on the table
You would remain employed by the firm initially, with full access to:
* Established precedents, systems and knowledge support
* A highly regarded commercial property team
