Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy team, potentially working on a rotational basis covering sites across the acute hospital and community settings within Ceredigion. This is a Fixed Term/Secondment for 9 months until 01/06/2026 due to the needs of the service.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties with over 13,000 staff across primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disability services.
Our services are provided in partnership with local authorities and other health and third sector colleagues, including volunteers.
Our services are provided in: four main hospitals; five community hospitals; two integrated care centres; 47 general practices; dental practices; ophthalmic services; and other community settings.
Responsibilities
* Work as an autonomous practitioner delivering a physiotherapy service across various clinical specialties through a rotational programme.
* Participate in four monthly rotations including Medical/Respiratory, Orthopaedic, Neuro, Community, Front of House and MSK.
* Apply evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in primary, community and secondary care settings.
* Deliver a clinical service as part of an integrated multidisciplinary/agency team and contribute to quality improvements, including audit and research.
* Consolidate undergraduate education and develop independent clinical practice through continuous professional development (C.P.D.).
* Assist senior staff in the development and education of support workers and students.
* Potentially participate in a flexible 7 day service based on service need and participate in the respiratory on-call rota with adequate training.
* Travel to different destinations across the county in a timely manner.
Qualifications and requirements
* Essential: qualified physiotherapist eligible to practice; capable of autonomous clinical practice.
* Desirable: ability to communicate in Welsh is advantageous; bilingualism supported with learning options during employment.
* Open to rotation across acute hospital and community settings; willingness to travel across Ceredigion.
* Participation in audits, research, and educational activities as part of the role.
