We are looking for a Buyer/ Planner to join our prestigious key client in Sheffield on a fixed term contract for at least 12 months to cover Maternity Leave.
Buyer – Fixed Term 12 Month Contract - Sheffield
Key Responsibilities:
* The Buyer will primarily be in charge of purchasing and procuring components and parts from suppliers ensuring all lead times are logged and parts/components arrive on time.
* Undertake all planning and scheduling of material requirements for production schedules and demands
* Monitor stock and inventory levels reducing excess and tracking supplier performance levels to minimise backlog and provide support where necessary
* Using the companies MRP system – deal with all material planning+
* Liaise with the Supply Chain team to check prices for different parts before creating the proposal
Key Attributes:
* At least 3 years’ in a Buying or Purchasing role for an Engineering, Manufacturing or similar organisation
* Ideally experience sourcing components and parts previously – Any Aerospace or Automotive knowledge would be beneficial
* CIPS qualification or working towards would be beneficial
